The Marine Corps League in conjunction with various other
organizations and businesses are collaboratively creating a
hospitality room at the Oneida County Airport under the direction
of Million Air, Inc. The concept is simple, give back something to
our troops who have sacrificed so much for our great nation.
Eventually a permanent hospitality room will be established at
Griffiss Park that will provide a respite for troops in transit to
various parts of the world. They will be provided with refreshments
and a place to rest, watch TV, or just read. This could not be done
without the support of community organizations, businesses, and
individual citizens. Support for this project has been overwhelming
by the community - and the Rome Marines want to thank the great
citizens of Rome and the surrounding communities for there
outpouring of help and encouragement.
